The Pelham Art Festival is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization. Now in its 39th year, PAF continues to celebrate art, support artists, and give back to the community

  • PAF features over 90 juried and youth artists showcasing original work in a variety of mediums.

  • Held Mother’s Day weekend at the Meridian Community Centre in Fonthill, Ontario, and online throughout May.
  • Since 1985, we have raised over $560,000 in support of the Lincoln Pelham Public Libraries, student art scholarships, and local arts initiatives.
  • Artist galleries remain online year-round, helping creators reach broader audiences and encouraging lasting connections.

Our Story

From a simple fundraiser to a much-loved annual event

The Pelham Art Festival began in 1985 as a backyard art show organized by the Friends of the Fonthill Library and the Pelham Art Club to support the local library.

  • By 1987, the event moved into the Pelham Arena and officially became the Pelham Art Festival. It has since welcomed artists from across Ontario and beyond, offering a original fine art, live music, and local food every Mother’s Day weekend.
  • In 2019, the Festival found its new home at the Meridian Community Centre, accommodating over 80 artists in a bright, modern venue.
  • During the pandemic the Festival adapted with the launch of the online festival, expanding access to art lovers across Canada and beyond. Online galleries now run year-round, in addition to the in-person event.
  • To date, the Festival has raised more than $500,000 in support of the Lincoln Pelham Public Libraries, student art scholarships, and community arts initiatives.
