PELHAM ART FESTIVAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR ART STUDENTS

We are proud to offer an annual scholarship to support talented secondary school students who are
pursuing post-secondary studies in fine arts. This scholarship aims to nurture creativity, encourage
artistic growth, and help students take the next step in their artistic journey

Scholarship Eligibility

To Apply, students must:

  • Be a resident of Niagara.

  • Be currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school
    within the Niagara region.

  • Plan to pursue or continue post-secondary studies in fine arts
    (visual arts, digital arts, design, or related disciplines).

  • Plan to graduate in the spring (June) of 2026.

  • Demonstrate artistic ability, commitment, and potential.

Scholarship Details
  • Open to students currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school within the Niagara region.
  • Award Amount: Up to $1,000
  • Number of Scholarships: Two awards granted each year.
  • Application Deadline: April 19, 2026.
  • Notification: Recipients will be notified in May.
  • The scholarship funds may be used toward tuition, art supplies, or other expenses related to post-secondary fine arts studies.
  • The Pelham Art Festival Scholarship Committee reserves the right to make the final decision.
Application Requirements
  • Completed Application Form – [Download]
  • Art Portfolio – 3–5 images of original artwork
  • Personal Statement – 250–500 words describing: 1. Your artistic journey and goals. 2. How this scholarship will support your post-secondary studies. 3. Your connection to the Niagara arts community.
  • Letter of Recommendation from an art teacher, mentor, or community reader.
  • Proof of Enrolment – Current secondary school or post-secondary registration, or copy of timetable.
  • Email statement and completed form to [email protected]
Selection Criteria
  • Artistic skill and creativity: originality, technique, and visual impact.
  • Active participation in school or community art programs, exhibitions, or competitions.
  • Potential for future success: Clear academic and artistic goals that align with post-secondary fine arts studies.
  • Quality of personal statement: Clarity, passion, and engagement in expressing artistic purpose and direction.
  • Application Deadline: April 19, 2026.

YOUTH ARTISTS

The Pelham Art Festival is proud to support the next generation of artists by giving Niagara’s youth a professional platform to showcase their creativity. Participating offers real art show experience, public exposure, and the chance to sell work both in-person and online.
If you are between 14 and 19 years old, live in the Niagara region, and are enrolled in a provincially recognized secondary school program, we invite you to apply.
