Best of Floral: The Curated Collection Award Winner at Pelham Art Festival Online is Artist Lillian Pasqua

Artist Lillian Pasqua's process is very observational. She starts with a drawing of a live, locally sourced reference. She then renders it in watercolour by layering washes. Ink and coloured pencil may also be applied as needed.

Lillian Pasqua is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist currently working out of Southern Ontario. While completing a degree in visual arts she discovered an interest in printmaking and botanical art. Lillian now enjoys a career that focuses on subjects of lifelong interest such as plants, insects, and other elements of the natural world. Art by Pasqua often features such specimens rendered on mundane surfaces in reference to mankind's relationship with nature.
