Trapped in Daydreams
Arielle Longo
Trapped in Daydreams, a self-portrait, aims to capture the inability to be fully present due to daydreams that may merely be chimeras.
The subject holds a pose reminiscent of the thinker by Auguste Rodin, and looks off into the distance, lost in thought. Small sections of the piece were cut into circular shapes and scattered across the canvas, bringing to mind bubbles, or perhaps dreams, floating away.
