A Niagara-based artist with rural roots, I developed a passion for photography as a Visual Arts educator. My subjects range from tree portraits to landscapes, Nature and architecture. A recent trip to the Netherlands took me to Keukenhof, a farm and floral showcase specializing in tulips and other bulb florals. Most of this body of work focusses on the beauty of those iconic Dutch flowers, my images concentrating on shape, form, texture, variety and of course, colour.
I captured images using the mirrorless Z7 Nikkon SLR camera with a 24-120mm lens and an iPhone 13 Pro camera. The challenge was making compositional sense of floral arrangements displayed randomly.
