Francie McGlynn

'Akimbo' is the last painting in this series and the style is slightly different. I was back to good health and interested in experimenting with the technique to see how I could use it in future projects. I used a few different types of kitchen scrubbers to peel away the heavy brown paint to reveal the picture I had done beneath. It worked well and it reminds me of a woman with her hands on her hips - standing akimbo. It has a beautiful espresso brown frame and is ready to hang.
