Creating has always been an essential part of my life. Since retiring from graphic design my attention has turned to fine art. My art is all about experimenting with colour, texture and form and is often a result of having fun with new processes and mediums. The infinite possibilities in nature are my inspiration. I do most of my creating when my other love, gardening, is on the back burner. If you don’t find me inside with paint under my nails, you’ll likely find me outside with dirt under them! As a result, nature, plants and flowers tend to dominate my images. I enjoy experimentation, saturated colours and unique mark making, as well as mixing media and incorporating interesting hand painted collage papers into acrylic, mixed media and collagraph pieces.
