Atmosphere, earth and water are the elements which inspire my artistic practice. My oil paintings depict the constant transformation of the natural world. I love to work en plein air and also in the studio; working on location is the catalyst for my creativity and typically four to six weeks per year is spent on the road throughout Canada. The small to mid sized studies and sketches build the foundation for larger work on canvas in the studio.

The light and movement inherent in nature captures my artistic soul and informs my compositions, while the deliberate process of applying multiple layers of oil paint, results in an illuminated quality of atmosphere, earth and water.

As a Signature Member of Artists for Conservation International (AFC), my artwork supports wildlife and habitat conservation and environmental education.
